The ABIDE Method™ Is Here! A New Way to Study the Bible with Confidence

Have you ever opened your Bible, eager to spend time with God, only to wonder, Where do I start? Or maybe you’ve read a passage and thought, I know I…

Have you ever opened your Bible, eager to spend time with God, only to wonder, Where do I start? Or maybe you’ve read a passage and thought, I know I should understand this better, but I’m not sure how. If you’ve ever felt that way, you’re not alone.

For years, I’ve loved studying God’s Word, but I also know what it’s like to feel overwhelmed by all the tools, methods, and resources available. Bible study shouldn’t leave us feeling intimidated—it should draw us closer to Jesus.

That’s exactly why I created the ABIDE Method™.

What Is the ABIDE Method™?

The ABIDE Method™ is a simple, biblical framework that helps you move beyond simply reading Scripture to truly understanding and applying it.

Each letter represents a step in the study process:

A — Ask God

Begin with prayer. Invite the Holy Spirit to teach you, give you wisdom, and prepare your heart to receive His truth.

B — Behold the Text

Slow down and observe what Scripture actually says. Notice repeated words, key phrases, people, places, and the overall flow of the passage.

I — Investigate the Meaning

Discover the original context and intended meaning. Learn what the passage meant to its first audience before asking what it means for us today.

D — Dig Deeper

Compare Scripture with Scripture. Explore cross-references, themes, and supporting passages that enrich your understanding.

E — Embrace the Truth

Allow God’s Word to transform your heart. Ask how you can apply what you’ve learned to your daily walk with Christ.

When practiced consistently, these five steps help make Bible study more meaningful, more intentional, and more life-changing.

Why I Created This Method

One of my greatest passions is helping Christian women grow in their confidence as they study God’s Word.

I’ve met so many women who sincerely love the Lord but feel unsure about studying the Bible on their own. They worry they’ll misunderstand Scripture or simply don’t know where to begin.

The ABIDE Method™ was created for women just like that. It isn’t about checking off another box on your to-do list. It’s about learning to sit with God’s Word, ask good questions, understand what He’s saying, and allow His truth to shape your life.

My prayer is that this method becomes a trusted companion—one that helps you build a lifelong habit of studying the Bible with joy and confidence.

This Is Just the Beginning

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing each step of the ABIDE Method™ in greater depth here on the blog and inside the Abide & Bloom Circle.

You’ll find:

  • Practical Bible study tips
  • Step-by-step lessons
  • Printable resources

Whether you’re brand new to Bible study or you’ve been opening your Bible for years, I hope these resources will encourage you to go deeper into God’s Word.

Join Me on the Journey

The heart behind the ABIDE Method™ is beautifully captured in Jesus’ words:

“Abide in Me, and I in you… Whoever abides in Me and I in him bears much fruit.” — John 15:4–5 (ESV)

My prayer is that this method won’t simply help you study the Bible—it will help you abide more deeply in Christ.

I’m so excited to begin this journey with you.

Let’s open God’s Word together.

Let’s ask questions.

Let’s seek understanding.

Let’s embrace His truth.

And most of all…

Let’s abide with Jesus.
