Have you ever opened your Bible because you genuinely wanted to know God’s Word—but then found yourself wondering, “Where do I even begin?”

Maybe you’ve tried Bible studies, devotionals, or different study methods. Maybe you underline verses and take notes, but sometimes you still wish you understood how all the pieces fit together.

Or maybe you simply want to slow down.

To stop rushing through Scripture.

To sit with God’s Word and learn to hear what He is saying.

That is exactly why I created the ABIDE Method™.

Come Study God’s Word With Me

Beginning September 7, we’re going to learn how to study Scripture using the ABIDE Method™.

ABIDE is a simple, repeatable approach designed to help you move from simply reading the Bible to actually studying, understanding, and living out God’s Word.

The five steps are:

A — Ask God

We begin with prayer.

Before we start examining the words on the page, we invite God to teach us. We surrender our assumptions and ask Him for wisdom, understanding, and a heart ready to receive His Word.

B — Behold the Text

We slow down and look closely at what Scripture actually says.

What do we notice?

Who is speaking?

Who is being addressed?

What words or ideas are repeated?

What stands out?

This step teaches us to observe before we rush to interpretation.

I — Investigate the Meaning

Now we begin asking, “What does this mean?”

We look at the context, the people, the circumstances, the words, and the passage as a whole.

Rather than simply asking what a verse means to us, we first seek to understand what the biblical author was communicating.

D — Dig Deeper

This is where we explore Scripture more deeply.

We make connections. We consider historical and cultural background. We compare Scripture with Scripture. We ask thoughtful questions and look for the treasures that can easily be missed when we read too quickly.

E — Embrace the Truth

Finally, we ask:

“How should this truth change the way I live?”

Bible study isn’t meant to end with information.

God’s Word is meant to transform us.

We take what we’ve learned and prayerfully consider how we can believe it, live it, obey it, and carry it into our everyday lives.

You Don’t Have to Be a Bible Scholar

One of the things I want women to know is this:

You don’t need a seminary degree to study the Bible well.

You don’t need a shelf full of expensive resources.

And you don’t have to know exactly what you’re doing before you begin.

You simply need a willingness to open God’s Word, slow down, ask good questions, and learn.

That’s what we’ll be doing together.

Starting September 7

On September 7, the ABIDE Method™ Study begins.

We’ll take this method one step at a time so you can learn how to use it for your own personal Bible study.

My hope isn’t simply that you’ll learn a new Bible study technique.

My hope is that you’ll become more confident opening God’s Word for yourself—and that, through studying Scripture, you’ll grow closer to the God who gave it to us.

So grab your Bible.

Bring a notebook.

Pick your favorite pen.

And maybe make yourself a cup of coffee.

Come study God’s Word with me.

The ABIDE Method™ Study begins September 7.

I can’t wait to open the Word together.

Abide with Jesus. Grow in His Word. Live it out.
