Romans Road

Let’s take a road trip through the book of Romans. Roman’s Road is a concise way to show our need for salvation using just the book of Romans. I have seen many versions of this concept and the verses are not always in the same order, but I am not sure the order matters as much as the concepts. I pray you will take this journey with me and call upon His name if you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. All aboard the train!!!!!!

Our first stop on the road to salvation shows our sinful nature. Every one sins. No one is perfect. No one can ever live up to God’s standards. We don’t have to be taught how to sin. Even the smallest children has to be taught to be kind to other. We have a sinful and selfish nature.

[Romans 3:23 ESV] 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Our second stop tells us that Christ died for each one of us. We do not have to clean up our life first. Christ has already died for me. [Romans 5:8 ESV] 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Our third stop shows us that our sinful nature leads to our death. God offers us the free gift of eternal life. I cannot have eternal life without the sacrifice that Jesus made for me. [Romans 6:23 ESV] 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Stop four shows us the need to confess our sins and believe in Christ. I have to confess and believe—that’s it. Salvation is a gift that I can not possibly earn. It is something I do not deserve. [Romans 10:9-10 ESV] 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

The fifth stop tells us we need to call on the name of Jesus. [Romans 10:13 ESV] 13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Will you call, on Him today?

Stop Six———Once we have believed in Christ and called up on His name, we are no longer condemned. [Romans 8:1 ESV] 1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” This verse brings such comfort. Every one will stand before the Lord when life is over. It I am saved, I will not be condemned for my sin.

Our seventh stop tells us that nothing can separate us from God when we are in Christ. [Romans 8:38-39 ESV] 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our final stop gives us the assurance that once we are in Chris we can finally know His peace.
[Romans 5:1 ESV] 1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
I encourage you to take this step of Faith and call upon the Lord today. Your life will forever be changed and your salvation will be secure. It doesn’t require anything fancy. You don’t have to get your life in order first. Christ has already done the work for your salvation. Believe today.
