Faithlife Study Bible

The Faithlife Study Bible is my new best friend. It comes highly recommended as a study Bible. I am at the very beginning of my exploration of this app. The version of the Bible that comes preloaded is the Lexham English Bible. There are other options to load along with many resource materials. Some are free and some are not.

The LEB version will open as a tab. The Faithlite Study Bible will open in another tab. The notes on each verse are easy to understand. Within the notes, there are symbols that link to other resource material. When you see an arrow next to a highlighted word,  the link takes you to the Lexham Bible Dictionary. Plus signs will open for additional information. Some of the information will have a lock beside it which means you would have to purchase that resource.

There are five buttons on the bottom. The dashboard button is where you go to find reading plans and devotional. The library button is where you can find reading plans that have been started. The tabs button allows you to easily switch between the Bible and study notes. The Bible tab is just the Bible which is also available from the tabs button.

The last button says more. It is just that—more. The library has a wealth of information for studying, there are a few audio files to listen to. You can find which books are downloaded with it. Courses provide tutorials for various things. I am not sure exactly what is included because I have not explored them. The documents section is not familiar to me . The other thing I am sure about is the section. That allows you to make your prayer list.

The Bible Tools looks promising. The Bible Word Study allows you to research particular words from a passage. You will see its Hebrew meaning as well as the Greek. At this point I am not sure how it compares to other resources for Hebrew and Greek meanings.

The Exegetical Guide provides information about the Hebrew or Greek text. I confess that I am a novice when it comes to Hebrew and Greek. However, there is a place I would like to spend some time and explore.

The Passage guide is the place to find cross references for particular passages. You can also find like to specific commentaries that are available. The Topic Guide gives you the ability to search a certain topic. The Tools section was a little more difficult to figure out. I will work on that at a later date.

Overall, this app is worth exploring especially if you want to dive deeper into God’s Word.
