Most Christians want a deeper relationship with God, but many feel stuck — distracted during prayer, inconsistent in Bible study, or unsure how to apply Scripture to daily life.
Sometimes spiritual growth begins with something surprisingly simple.
For me, that simple habit was Scripture writing and praying God’s Word back to Him.
Scripture writing is exactly what it sounds like: slowly writing out Bible verses by hand. Instead of rushing through a chapter or reading quickly to check a box, you slow down long enough to truly notice the words.
Then comes the powerful part — turning those verses into prayer.
When you pray Scripture, you are no longer wondering what to say. God’s Word becomes the foundation of your conversation with Him.
If you write, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want,” your prayer may become:
“Lord, help me trust You as my Shepherd today. Remind me that You are enough for every need I face.”
This practice changes the way you read the Bible. Scripture moves from information to transformation. Verses linger in your heart throughout the day. Prayer becomes more personal, focused, and faith-filled.
You do not need perfect words, hours of free time, or extensive Bible knowledge to begin. All you need is a Bible, a notebook, and a willing heart.
One verse.
One prayer.
One faithful day at a time.
Small habits practiced consistently often become the very things God uses to transform our lives.
